Where to take an exam
As mentioned on my website, I am no longer actively serving as a Volunteer Examiner, nor overseeing a club doing license testing. For those of you who are wanting to take a test remotely, I am more than glad to offer a reference to the club I started in September 2016 called the Aurora Amateur Radio Group. Through my training, dedication and commitment to quality, I have great confidence you will be treated exceptionally well if you test with them.
You can learn more about AARG’s remote testing program by visiting their website. You can access it by clicking HERE (Hyperlink will open a new tab.). Do let them know you were referred by the Founder of their club. I do not get any kickbacks, but they might be reasonably surprised. No matter what, I expect you will have a good experience. I also expect you will receive an honest exam with the highest level of integrity.
If you live in Aroostook County and prefer to test in-person, the Aroostook Amateur Radio Association (K1FS) based in Presque Isle offers free testing through Laurel VEC. You can periodically check their club website by clicking HERE or check their VE team web page on the Laurel VEC website by clicking HERE.
If you are interested in taking practice exams, the platform I co-develop is freely available for use. Wireless Exam Gen will provide you with an honest examination and display any missed questions after a practice exam. You can use our practice exam generator by clicking HERE. Unlike other platforms, Wireless Exam Gen uses questions from the entire pool during the process of generating your practice examinations. So, if you’re wanting to really determine readiness, look no further!
